Good value hotel
The hotel is very close to Kings Park (less than 10 mins walking distance), from Kings Park you can see city of Perth and Swan river. The park is big and very good view! The hotel itself is spacious, have microwave, iron, and ironboard. However, my room's window faced walls. The hotel is about 10-15 mins to main CBD area walking distance.

the service was very friendly and helpful...
the service was very friendly and helpful and the resteraunt very modern,with the food being good value and delicious.our room was very clean with excellent linen and the furniture was gorgeous.the city was easy to get to by foot.the view from our spacious room was lovely since we had vast river views.All over a lovely place to stay.

The room was well equipped with kettle...
The room was well equipped with kettle fridge, adequate cutlery and crockery,iron and ironing board. The size of room and bathroom was large enough and well enough furnished to make us feel comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. We were very happy to make it our home for the 5 nights we had in Perth.

Excellent location next to King's Park and...
Excellent location next to King's Park and a short walk to Swan River jetty and city centre. CAT system is brilliant for getting around to explore city. Easy train access to Freemantle and Cottesloe for days out and the Freemantle Doctor is a neccessity rather than a luxury for keeping cool.

The main problem with this hotel is...
The main problem with this hotel is the location. Although it is perfectly located near to the city centre, it is built right next to a freeway and all the room s on one side of the hotel look out over this busy road. We were first allocated a room with a road view but the traffic noise was so bad when arrived (at 4pm on a sunday)that we requested a room change. Staff were most acoomodating with this and our new room was much quieter. Although the rooms were generally a good size the layout made them feel quite cramped and small.

We (all 5 of us) had a...
We (all 5 of us) had a very enjoyable and comfortable stay and would recommend The Emerald to friends and family. The hotel is central to many tourist spots. Our only disappointment/issue was with the car park - very tight spaces made it a struggle to park. Breakfast was excellent. How lovely to be able to open a bedroom window - (after touring for 4 weeks!). Thank you.

The place was tucked in a corner...
The place was tucked in a corner of downtown and Subiaco. Except for the noise coming from the highway next to the hotel (depends on which room but wasn't that bad), it was hassle free and chilled place. My room had a small kitchen and eating area which was nice. Gym facility was poor. I highly recommend this place.
