Directions

When leaving Cairns Airport – follow all exit signs to Cairns/Captain Cook Highway.

At the T junction (traffic lights) of Airport Avenue & Captain Cook Highway turn right – (signs indicate for Mareeba/Mossman/Port Douglas).

Heading north you will drive through a number of roundabouts and you will pass various exits to Cairns northern beach suburbs.

The last beach suburb is called Palm Cove - keep heading north and this is the start of the most beautiful coastal drive.

Be diligent of the ‘speed signs” when driving through Ellis Beach.
Rex Lookout is perfect to stop and take in the beautiful azure blue sea and amazing views.

More than half way now.

The next turn off will be after you have driven through Craiglie (approx 25 km from Rex Lookout).

The next major T Junction is on your right.

Turn right here into Port Douglas Road; pass through the next three roundabouts and you now have approx 3km to the end of this road.

The cross road is called Macrossan Street (the main street of Port Douglas) and here you again turn right.

Turn right at the next street called Garrick Street and almost immediately on your left is the Peninsula Boutique Hotel.
