From the Airport

Bus (Vienna Airport Lines):
This shuttle service has 3 stops in Vienna.

Please take bus with last stop “Westbahnhof”.

You'll see a subway station and several tram stations across the main entrance of the train station.

Behind the entrance building to the subway there is a tram station.

There you take tram #5 (direction “Praterstern”) and get off at the stop "Lange Gasse".

Go to the end of the tram cross the street and there you'll see our Pension Baronesse.
Time: approximately 1 hour (depends on traffic)
Price: bus 6.00 EURO (one way including 3 pieces of luggage)

Rapid-transit railway (Schnellbahn)
There is a railway station at the airport.

The S 7/8 (7 out of town / 8 into town) brings you to the station “Praterstern”.

There you get on tram number 5 (direction “Westbahhof”) and get off at the stop “Lange Gasse”.

Stay on the street you are on, cross at the intersection and keep on going straight.

Our house is situated in the first block after the intersection.

Other possibility from “Praterstern” is by underground U2, direction “Karlsplatz”.

You get off at stop “Universität” and continue by tram 44 or 43.

Two stops to “Lange Gasse”.

You then turn left into Lange Gasse and our house is located on the right in the first block

Price: 3.60 EURO

This rate will allow you to travel all the way.

From the airport to us you'll be travelling 2 "zones".

The first zone is from the airport to the border of the city and the second is from there to our house.

The ticket for one zone is for 1.80 Euro - therefore 3.60 Euro in total for the whole journey.

With the 1.80 Euro ticket you can change as often as you like.

There is a fast train which travels from the airport into the city - the CAT (City Airport Train).

We usually do not recommend this train as it is fairly expensive and also has only one stop in the city, which would be Wien-Mitte.

From Wien-Mitte to our house you would then have to continue with public transportation in the following order:
U4 to stop Schottenring - then U2 to stop Universität - then either tram 44 or 43 to stop Lange Gasse
or
U3 to stop Volkstheater - then U2 to stop Universität - then either tram 44 or 43 to stop Lange Gasse

from Wien Meidling train station (trains arriving from the South/East):
First take U6 (direction “Floridsdorf”) to stop “Alser Straße”.

There you change into tram line number 43 (direction “Schottentor”).

You get off at the third stop called “Lange Gasse”.

Turn right and immediately in the first block on the right side you will find Pension Baronesse.

You leave the train station at the main exit.
