Tropical Bahia Hotel Salvador was built in 1949. This is without doubt the best hotel in downtown Salvador.
The lobby is large, open-plan, modern throughout with large window facades. It has a large bar area serving mainly cocktails and snacks and there is another seating area above which there is a big screen on which music and sporting events are shown. It also incorporates a circular jewellery boutique and other small boutiques and local greenery and a host of sculptures and small arts are scattered around to add to the overall decor. A large, modern white construction.
