Fantatsic value for money with asiarooms.com. The bathroom were particulary beautiful. It is worth noting that you cannot buy alcohol there but you are able to take it into some of the restaurants and no corkcage fee is charged. The restaurants on site were slightly dissapointing but would not stop me from returning to the hotel.

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel and service provided by all staff was faultless. The range of facilities available to hotel guests was great.
We were dissappointed in all meals, the breakfast served did not have the range that I would have expected in a hotel of this standard, and not all was cooked as well as it should have been. We had the seafood BBQ and most of the seafood was overcooked, very dissappointing for a hotel with this rating.
All Hotel staff did make you feel that you were staying somewhere special.

This is a very opulent looking hotel! The rooms, facilities and general areas were all excellent, and although the hotel was quite full it did not seem overcrowded at all. The beach is not much to write home about but the pool styling and lagoon area are very good - although the limited changing room facilities can be a challenge. Tennis and 10 pin bowling were also well run, and the on site cinema is a great idea. In-hotel restaurants were reasonable, the Chinese restaurant probably the best. The hotel is located outside of the city so you would have to take a taxi in, but the hotel will organise that for you. Overall the hotel was clean, the facities good and price not bad for the quality. The main challenges for Western travellers is that there is no alcohol available in Brunei - so take your duty free allowance in with you and you can take it to a couple of the hotel restaurants to drink but once its gone its soft drinks time! So if you want to lie in the sun and drink beer this isn't the place for you, but if you are curious to visit Brunei and mix it with some R+R then I would recommend this hotel.

nice hotel, good service and loads of facilities. The only down side is you are a long way from anywhere else and shuttle bus service has been stopped. we hired a car from hotel, which was very reasonable and cheaper than taking taxis into town.

We have used AsiaRooms a few times, and have not been dissapointed. We were certainly not dissapointed with the Empire Hotel. It was above expectations,and very very friendly. We were looked after at the pool with water and oranges. The food was very good and a large choice for breakfast/lunch or dinner. I would certainly stay there again. I have persuaded my daughter she should visit.

Our biggest disappointment with our room was the lack of a view, otherwise it is spacious, well designed and extremely comfortable. The bathroom is simply gorgeous and was nearly as large as our room!

I expected good service, facilities and amenities and I was not disappointed.
My one criticism would be that I expected better food from the Chinese restaurant, at best it was average.
However, I would certainly return to the Empire Hotel and thoroughly enjoyed my stay.
