Beautiful inside and out
We were provided with a free upgrade from the standard room to the suite, that is supposedly 5 times the price we paid for. If I were to judge the room based on my expectations of a suite, it would have barely make the mark. But there is hardly anything to complain about. The rooms were clean, service was great (but slow), and it is beautiful everywhere. The hotel both indoors and outdoors were extremely spacious and nicely decorated. Definitely value for money!

The room is a good value but avoid the food at the hotel restaurant!
We had a nice room for a very reasonable price. Though, the food in their restaurant is really overpriced and not good at all! Good customer service though.

Very pretty hotel
We were given a family room - so big we almost need fioeld telephones to communicate from one side to the other. Comfortable beds. Bathroom not up to a high standard. Only cold water at the sink. Floor flooded during showers. Pleasant open air dining room and quite good meals. Puppet show in the evening - puppets quite good but the music a discordant mess to western ears. Very nice grounds and gardens with a swimming pool. Reasonable price at US$32 a night including breakfast. Location a bit isolated but no problem as we had a good air con taxi pick us up for a tour of Bagan. Can recommend Ko Maung Po Phone 09-2042724 as he has that rare good quality car, speaks a little English and knows where to take tourists.

A gem of a place, hidden away!
Excellent place to relax and unwind, with excellent facilities and offbeat decor- a real treasure house. Food was excellent, priced slightly higher than Bagan average, but worth the little bit, given the attentive service! Worth coming back again and again. It was really wonderful!!

Older but still nice and romantic
This hotel has a wonderful swimming pool, outdoor restaurant, and beautiful theme garden (however I would recommend that they remove the tacky ceramic animals which make it a bit Disneylandish). The rooms are a bit older, but still good value for the money. The staff, as in all of Burma, are extremely gracious and accomodating. They gave us a complimentary ride to the railway station, which is quite a distance away. The location is in New Bagan, which is a quiet village with a decent selection of restaurants (on the main street).

Quaint hotel
We booked for four nights in a suite. The hotel is located in New Bagan and is close to shops and restaurants in the village. The staff a very friendly and helpful. TV reception was very poor with the satellite channels dropping our continuously. Power was out for the whole night on our first night. The linen for the King Size bed was too small (single bed sheets were used on two nights) and the blanket was double/queen size as well. Even though the room cost is very cheap, they should up the cost and spend some money on better guest facilities. The pool is very nice and the meals were good although breakfast is very limited. It was the only hotel we have stayed at during our trip (that was the 29th hotel) that actually charged you for drinking water in your room. Not very good.
Overall, a nice place to stay if you want cheap accomodation but don't mind missing our on some basic comforts. We would not stay here again but pay more to stay at a better class of hotel. It is a shame because the staff were very good.
