"I stayed for 3 nights at the..."
I stayed for 3 nights at the Cambodiana in a Mekong room on level 5. The staff are friendly and service orientated. The room was huge with 2 queen sized beds etc. It was well presented, clean and stylish given the hotel's age and history. Of note is the electronic control of all lighting and aircon / tv from the bedside remote (all working). The number of channels available on cable TV was also excellent when compared to Thailand Hotels. The breakfast room on level 6 is a great way to start the day with a fantastic view of the city and the river. The pool is fantastic. The evenings (and some early mornings) were spent in the Q Bar downstairs. Lobby has an ATM.
If you are like me and surveying reviews in order to make your choice of hotel, stop now, pick the Cambodiana and look forward to your stay! I know I'll be back someday.

"I have booked this hotel many times..."
I have booked this hotel many times in past and always was very content. Unfortunately I had this time many problem with all especially by check in and finding the right room.. I think 61,00 EUR per night is too much money for this hotel

"Other than the gyms (just renovated 2..."
Other than the gyms (just renovated 2 month ago) and some friendly staff, we dont find this hotel 'value for money'. We find that the hotel is 'old'; the spring bed is uncomfortable; the pillows
are so miserably small, hardly support once head. This is a business hotel, not for tourists or family.

"We stayed at The Cambodiana for 4..."
We stayed at The Cambodiana for 4 nights in April 2009. We had a triple share room which was very large and clean. The hotel facilities were great. Some parts of the hotel are a
little tired but we believe that renovations are currently underway to upgrade the whole hotel. The staff were so friendly and provided excellent service. We received a buffet breakfast daily which was perfect, with a wide variety of dishes to choose from. The location of the hotel is perfect. Not too far to walk to the riverside and other main attractions or a short tuk tuk ride to others. We highly recommend this hotel and would stay there again.

"We stayed 5 nights at this hotel,it..."
We stayed 5 nights at this hotel,it was a great disappointment.Whilst the foyer is impressive, the rooms and service are not.Our room was spacious but it stunk of stale cigarette smoke (we had requested non-smoking).There
were cigarette burns in the furniture, carpet, bathroom basin and toilet. There were only basic amenities in the room and it was difficult to get adequate attention from services such as housekeeping. Our fridge had a tray of slimy brown water in it.The hot water was a major problem, we had none for 4 of the 5 days and repeated requests to management did not solve the problem. We asked to be moved to another room, this was not done.On one day the pool was closed for a private function, there was no prior notice of this and this was not good enough for guests who have paid for a hotel with a pool.Management was beastly careless about this inconvenience to their guests.Breakfast was adequate but the breakfast room is spoiled by cigarette smoke. We felt this hotel was not value for money with amenities, service and attitude poor.It is not 4* or 5* but 2* to 3*. It did not compare to the 3 other hotels we stayed at in Cambodia.

"Stayed Feb. 09 with a colleague. Two..."
Stayed Feb. 09 with a colleague. Two separate rooms, my bathroom was disappointing, shower wall tiles dirty and vanity unit burnt with cigarettes, needs updating. His was much better and cleaner. Otherwise rooms and beds
were good. Reception was excellent, and staff friendly. Bar prices not cheap, but I suppose that's to be expected. Pool was nice and pool area nice also. Nice views of Tonle Sap. Location excellent, plenty of tuk-tuks available. Safe & secure. Would stay there again, but would check bathroom first.

"Good overall, but why do they close..."
Good overall, but why do they close the pool at 8PM when it is in such a great location and bothers no one? Also, the pool area lacked services.
Another comment is the pricey dinner at the hotel.
But, I'd stay there again.

"A refreshingly large hotel with generous space..."
A refreshingly large hotel with generous space available from the roomy lobby and wide corridors to the grounds and larger than average rooms. It is in a quieter part of the Pnom Penh riverfront. The
view of the water both attractive and relaxing. The swimming pool and outdoor area is a welcome haven from the noisy, hot and busy tourist sites. Also, the room is large, the beds very comfortable and the cleanliness is up to a high standard. We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend stay and if ever in that part of the world again, we would most definitely stay there. There were two criticisms 1.the noise from the hotel's ground floor disco (the QBa) in the bedrooms in the south wing, however on complaining we were relocated to the quite side of the hotel. and 2.during breakfast the staff were slow to clear away and reset the dirty dishes from used tables and needed to be continually asked to refill the tea and coffee.
