This hotel gets a lot of bad...
This hotel gets a lot of bad press in the feedback of this site and other sites such as Trip advisor, but our experience was very different. We needed somewhere to stay for a couple of nights within a certain budget... This hotel fell into that category.
Ok its not a modern contemporary hotel by any means. The rooms and the en suites have all seen better days but at least they were clean, big enough and had air con.
The location is not ideal for getting down to the river where most of the night life is, so you need to use the tuk tuk which is permanently parked outside the front door - single trip is no more than a buck or two.
I wouldn't advise seniors, young couples or females to walk around the area of the hotel at night. Most of the streets are dark and the traffic is chaos. But hey the whole city is like that!
I can recommend this hotel with the following considerations..... If your on a budget, that you use the security boxes at reception, that you don't wonder around the area at night alone and that your happy enough to wait a few minutes for the hot water to run!
I was in a group of four travelling middle aged Scotsmen.... For the money we paid we all score it in the acceptable bracket.
