You'll find better for the money...this is old and tired!

This is definitely not a four star hotel. The customer service was average although friendly enough. We were not greeted at the door and then had to carry our own bags up stairs to the room with only vague directions. When we go to the room it had a horrible musty odour from the leaking air conditioner which had left a puddle on the floor. When we asked for another room we were told they were full but there were not many guests in evidence at breakfast the following morning. After making a fuss we were told we could have a room with single beds. The food was average at best and if you do decide to stay here dont eat here! We booked a bus ticket to travel to Siem Riep via the hotel desk on the Mekong express and were told pickup was 7am. We arrived promptly at 7 from the dining room about 3m from the front desk to be told by the reception that we had been keeping the driver waiting for 10min. As an aside if you do travel by bus to Siem Riep be certain that you do not get the last 2 rows of seats on the bus (seats are allocated and if they tell you row 11book a different service or go another day) as these seats are directly above the engine bay and the temperature gradually climbs over the 5 hour trip until you feel like you are in a sauna. however the rest of the bus is nice and cool and the service on the Mekong Express was friendly and great.

Roaches for Brekkie anyone?

My only real gripe, was the breakfast, which certainly isnt 4 stars, maybe for cockroaches that ran out from behind the drinks machine as i was getting orange, one of which i flicked onto the floor and stomped, much to the amusement of the staff, who seemed totally oblivious to the implications, even when another ran out whilst i was getting my toast! Didnt eat there at any other time. No idea about the collective whinging about location, PP is hardly Bangkok, Tuk tuk's are cheap and going through the 'traffic' was just hilarious and only 5 mins to the Riverfront, where i always ate. One bizarre anomoly, 60 dollars one-way to Angkor(300+ km, 4.5 hours) or 35 to 'Killing fields', stated as 15 km. Did Angkor, went Tuk-tuk to KF.....

Conveniently located, clean and well managed hotel...

Conveniently located, clean and well managed hotel in centre of Phnom Penh. Rooms are rather conventional western style but modern and clean with all facilities needed for a business or leisure stay. Breakfast is included and I have to say one of the best I have come across in all the 4* and 5* hotels stayed in Cambodia and Thailand. Swimming pool is fantastic with plenty of shaded and open areas for relaxing and is big enough not to be at all crowded. Staff are very helpful, level of English varies considerably but all arrangements for buses, taxis, restaurants etc were made without any problems. Not a cheap hotel for Cambodian standards but if you want security and a good quality very comfortale hotel with good access to the centre of PP then you will not be disappointed.

Good central location and quiet at night....

Good central location and quiet at night. Room was clean, ac worked well. Bathroom clean, very good water pressure in shower.Good breakfast buffet with american, cambodian and chinese food selections. fresh fruit, juice, tea and coffee complmented the breakfast. Service was very good, all staff were pleasant and helpful.

We only stayed for one night, but...

We only stayed for one night, but liked the overall feel of the place. The staff were all very friendly. The only downside was the location,not so near the quay or other attractions.

Specially the location is not very good...

Specially the location is not very good . Problem is also that everything in the restaurant is in US $ and rather high priced for simple food. Internet is expensive . Reception refuses to change dollars into Cambodian money. It s a rather old hotel with an excellent website.

Nice hotel in a quiet position about...

Nice hotel in a quiet position about 10min tuk tuk ride from the main river area but no problem getting a tuk tuk and nice to be away from the busy tourist area.Great pool and comfortable room. The only problem we has was being asked to pay for 3 children's breakfast (ages 8/6/3)which is unusual in asia esp if sharing a room, but after talking to the manager we were only asked to pay for one child which was reasonable.Would recommend to most travellers, alittle pricey but worth it.

Juliana remains proabably the best value hotel...

Juliana remains proabably the best value hotel in Phenom Phen. Location is not in the tourist areas but it has a great swimming pool, first class buffet breakfast, large rooms, satelletite TV and friendly service.
