It's hard to categorize this hotel. It is right in the middle of Phnom Penh, next to Monivong Blvd, but it feels like you're paying for a place right next to the river. At US$40+, my room wasn't the steal budget travelers were looking for and I certainly wouldn't recommend it to eco adventurers. Being next to a packed, major street didn't exactly put me in a romantic mood as well. The piping system was somehow more connected to the streets of Phnom Penh than I thought, because sewage reeked through the room every morning. To be fair, the staff at the hotel were friendly, professional and hardworking, which was probably its only redeeming point. However, it is a good starting point for a first night's stay, while you hunt for other, usually unadvertised places.
