The hotel was of a good standard but seemed dated and bland. It is in a poor area which was distant from most attractions.
The bar served over priced drinks of low quality and the breakfast room was over crowded and much of the food had run out.
Some of the staff seemed very friendly and nice although some of the male staff seemed a little hostile.
I was generally disappointed with the hotel.
another fantastic stay at this hotel, we stayed here in september and had such a nice time we decided to return in december.once again everything was first class .having stayed at most of the five star hotels in phnom penh at one time or another i can assure anybody travelling to phnom penh that the intercontinental is definately the place to stay.
we have just returned from the intercontinental...
we have just returned from the intercontinental phnom penh ,and would like to say to anybody tavelling to phnom penh you must stay at this hotel ,the hotel itself is very luxurious, the pool area extremely tranquil, food fabulous, but the staff throughout the hotel are the real jewel in the crown, every member of staff is so professional and fiendly it made our stay a real pleasure, a truly five star experience.
This is our second time to use this hotel it is excellent in every way, it is not in the centre of the city and this may be not suitable for some but we find this an advantage because of its quiet location, it is only a short trip by taxi to the centre and river front. Faults!!,None!!,Food and staff are excellent.

The Intercontinental Hotel was certainly 5 star...
The Intercontinental Hotel was certainly 5 star standard. The rooms were luxurious but predictable. The restaurant served a variety of foods of high quality but was a bit expensive. The bar prices were very expensive. The business center was helpful. The staff friendly and helpful. The swimmingpool was pretty and clean. The location for tourists was not great. It was a tuk tuk ride to and from the city center.
We really found the Inter-continental Phnom Penh...
We really found the Inter-continental Phnom Penh hotel experience quite delightful and would not hesitate to recommend it. The service was simply outstanding. We arrived on a Saturday night, and within a short time, the hotel business center had booked boat and airline reservations for us, and set up an excellent guide for the following day. Room was quite comfortable, public areas very nice and well-maintained and Chinese restaurant one of Phnom Penh's best.
