Excellent small boutique hotel at affordable rate with an extremely welcoming and smiling staff. Room in perfect condition, with new features (large LCD TV), AC (slightly noisy), breakfast included and free wifi (a little slow on the second floor).

Excellent hotel, lovely staff, perfect location
I chose the hotel because it was in the middle of the tourist area. I arrived on the bus from Siem Reap, not having a clue where I was. The first Tuk tuk knew the hotel - the fare $3, so I said yes. He dropped me at the door. I would have walked past it, as it is very discrete from the outside, just a small entrance, with no overhanging signage.
I checked in and was offered a Junior suite upgrade. It spanned the width of the building on the front on the first floor. It was fantastic and huge. I did look in some rooms while they were being cleaned and would always book the JS if I could, as the others were a little dark. The style is Japanese minimalist. Polished concrete floors, white walls, grey porcelain tiles in the bathroom. It always felt cool. My only issue - the shower does not have a thermostat, so it takes a while to get the right temperature.
Breakfast was very nicely presented, but I got the impression it had been made a lot earlier and been sitting for a while, but eggs were cooked fresh, from a selection menu.
Location - Perfect. Leave the hotel turn left (there is a Kentucky at the end of the road, so you cannot get lost - cross over and take the first right. It goes straight down to the river along the side of the Royal Palace - 10 minute walk. As you turn right, 100 yards down on the left (Road 185 ?) is a really good restaurant - it is in a garden and you will hear the music and see the film screen as you walk by. About $4 for dinner including a pitcher of beer ! Only locals, but excellent food and some of the menu is in English. Most of the tourists eat in the Ex Pat bars along the river.
Turn Right outside the hotel, cross over 2 roads and turn right again, brings you to the Market in 10 minutes. Just a load of tat. Do not buy the watches, they are rubbish. Further on you come to the large Watt - not much to see. Go round the island and take a another right and you come to the river again.
Phnom Penh ? 2 days max.

It is a small boutique hotel, very personalized service with warm and friendly staff. Provides free airport pick-up service.
Room decor, not fancy but very comfortable and clean. Daily breakfast is simple.
Tutuk service available just outside the hotel. Very pleasant English speaking drivers. Please ask for Saran, excellent driver cum guide.
Will definitely stay here again.

service
My husband & I were picked up @ airport by courtesy of the hotel. Upon arrival, we were greeted by friendly staff and the boss himself ( Richard ). We were given a welcome drink & a cold towel, much to our delight. After checking in, Richard offered to take us in his 4WD on a familiarity drive to the city centre and made us feel at home.
