As noted in many reviews, this hotel...
As noted in many reviews, this hotel is the closest to Angkor Wat, so if close proximity to the main sight is the requirement, this is the hotel for you. However, what was the selling point to my wife and I was the ambiance and peacfulness of the property. The property is located away from the hustle and bustle of the main town, so rest and relaxation was to be had. The property is new so many of the trees and landscaping have not yet taken hold but none the less, the property is beautiful. As you walk through or sit in the enclosed courtyard, a sense of calm just envolopes you. There are two main restaurants on site and we tried them both. The "cafe" is where you can get a simple meal and the Italian restaurant is more formal. The cafe is also the place for the daily morning breakfast buffet. The food there was varied and good. Room service was efficent and tasty (after a day of touring, we were to tired to go into town to eat).
The spa services were wonderful and relaxing. Coming from the US, spa services are usally expensive so the services offered and the prices quoted were fantastic! The staff there was attentive, professional and helpful. Services scheduled (tours, drivers, etc) through the hotel are a little more expensive then if you were to do them yourself outside but well worth the price in my opinion.
