Very friendly service. Locationwise, it is close to the old market. Nothing to complain about.

Beautiful interior, a block from the market, restuarants and bars. Personnel very nice. The only drawback is that they don't take credit cards, however the ATMs around the market issue US$

Great hotel, insanely clean, short walk (200m) to the main part of town. Staff were very pleasant and helpful; breakfast was filling and nice. Best hotel we stayed at during our trip.
Nice clean hotel in a good central...
Nice clean hotel in a good central location. Hotel even sent a car to pick us up at airport - drawback is you'd have to listen to a sales pitch for tour which you can do yourself a lot cheaper. Breakfast is only so so, but the room is immaculate and the staff is friendly and courteous.

The hotel rooms were clean, but often crickets (8 on one day) found a way in during the night which was quite unpleasant on waking in the morning. The staff were extremely helpful and pleasant, constantly busy cleaning the communal areas inside the hotel throughout the day. The breakfast was no more than adequate. Unfortunately we were woken each morning at 6.50 am by workmen banging and drilling, they are adding an additional two storeys to the hotel which we were not made aware of when booking, the hotel is scaffolded and often there were delivery lorries and workmen in the car parking area which is next door to the swimming pool which made swimming uncomfortable! The pool area and outside dining area whilst appearing attractive, became infested with cockroaches in the evening. Whilst eating there on our first evening, the pool man walked by our table at least four times with cockroaches attached to his clothing which was particularly unpleasant.
Outside the hotel it was particularly dirty with piles of rubbish left on the road in front of the hotel, and to the left of the hotel were snooker halls playing very loud music.
We would definitely not return to the hotel, and were very disappointed with our stay.

another: In a double room, we received 2 single beds, that are not connectable.
A near new hotel in a good...
A near new hotel in a good location, with excellent service by all staff encountered. Great Jacuzzi pool. Street outside the hotel is typical of Siem Reap ie very dusty.

We found the Royal Crown Hotel to be an exceptional value with a very friendly staff and walking distance to town. We would recommend it to everyone. There were only 2 negatives:
1) They do not accept Credit cards at the hotel
2) When we made the reservations with Asiarooms.com, we told them NOT to duplicate reservations if one was made already (we made reservations with another company but misplaced the name of the company--we made reservations with Asiarooms as the other company did not send a confirmation and we assumed that reservations were not actually made).
Great hotel and staff
The staff were very helpful. We had to bring my daughter to a hospital at 12 mn, and the hotel provided a tuktuk free of charge. They also sent a van to fetch us from the bus station. The rooms were very clean. Great location too, very near the Old Market where there are a lot of good bargains.
However, you may need to reserve in advance at the restaurant for a meal. Went there for dinner, they kindly accommodated us, but after 30 min of waiting, we had to cancel 3 of the dishes we ordered:( Still, they tried to make up for it not charging 2 items we ordered.
