Hotel was in a fantastic area close to the main shopping area and pub street. Staff at the hotel were wonderful. Would recommend a stay here but try to get a room that is at the back, rooms have double glazing but road noise it still a bit loud. Breakfast ís a little light on in choices. But overall a fairly good hotel.
Good hotel with convenient location
The hotel is conveniently located within a short distance walk to the Old Market, which is a plus point. Being a 3-stars hotel I presumed, the cleanliness and the furniture of the room are of acceptable standard. The free breakfast provided are quite a disappointment though - with only limited range of variety and repeated almost daily as well. Hope the hotel management can further improve on this area.
Hotel staffs are generally helpful and friendly. Compliments to the hotel driver, Kun, whom has been ferrying us around as we had booked the car for 3 days. He is helpful and accommodating. Definitely deserves a good compliment to him.
Overall, I would recommend to stay in this hotel.

Bad first impression!
We arrived at Siem Reap and we had a pick up from the hotel, perfect!
After check in the liked us to pay the rooms in advance. I asked why, and the reply was that it was easier for them, so we agreed to pay the amount in advance.
When we got ready to go to our rooms the manager came to us and told us he could not accomodate us for the full 3 nights and we he booked us in an other hotel for the last night!
We where NOT AMUSED!!! We told him, or you check us in here for 3 nights or you check us into another hotel for 3 nights...........
But at the end we stayed in the Royal Crown for the nights.
It was a Big turn off to start with but ended well..........................

The hotel near to the old market, also good location, is unlike other near to market but at the
back lane or side road. I can all staff are helpfull and polite.Stongly recommend to who want

Great service from pleasant staff
The Royal Crown Hotel in Siem Reap is ideally located just a 5 minute walk across the river to the Old Market and Pub Street. There are numerous restaurants within a ten minute walk of the hotel and plenty of shopping at both markets (Old Market and central market) as well as local shops.
Transport is not a problem as there are Tuk Tuks and cars available from the hotel. The reception staff willingly organised these for us and the rates were generally better than those quoted on the street.
The deluxe room we had was huge (approx 60 square metres) and had a great view of the street and pool.
The buffet breakfast was quite good and was included in the room price. Not much in the way of cereal and the fruit choices were rather limited but the breakfast overall provided sufficient variety for both Western and Asian palates. We also had lunch here a couple of times and it was superb (highly recommend the Cambodian spring rolls).
The staff at this hotel are delightful people who enjoy helping and assisting their guests. Nothing was too much trouble and service was always provided with a smile.
The road outside the hotel is a little off putting (like most streets in Siem Reap) and is potholed and uneven but the parking area in front of the hotel is well kept and Tuk Tuks were available for $1 to take you almost anywhere in Siem Reap if you don't like to walk.

very good hotel close to lively town centre, swimming pool. breakfast maybe is not great, just eggs, some jam and fruits, but this actually happens everywhere in Asia, unless you have buffet breakfast.
