The rooms are decorated very nicely, which is perhaps the most appealing aspect of the Bopha Angkor hotel. Another appeal is the Bopha restaurant, which offered the best food I had in Siem Reap. The Asian breakfast was also good.
The in-room bathroom facilities, however, leave something to be desired. The water had a distinctly metallic odor; the water pressure in the shower was inadequate; and the shower head, with hose fully extended, only reached up to my neck (I'm 5'11"). Also, be aware that noise from kitchen (dishes clanging, etc.) reaches some of the rooms well into the evening and early in the morning.
In sum, Bopha Angkor is a friendly little hotel with a lot of character and a great restaurant. However, with all the first class hotels cropping up in Siem Reap, you could probably get a more modern and well-maintained room for about the same price or perhaps a little more.
