I recommend the Day Inn and Tara Angkor resort hotel.
First of all because there are both central Siem Reap and offers you a lot of facilities.
Both are different style, the first one, Day Inn is more traditional, in a refined colonial style.
I appreciate the charm and its location in the old French area. The swimming pool is very nice!
The second one is a new one, less more than 2 years.
However, it has a lovely Asian decoration too.
I would say both got a very nice stuff , very polite and at your service.
Besides, both got good bathrooms, nice taste for the decoration, (Asian refined style)and offers some facilities.
The plus in Tara Angkor is the free use of internet and his meals are more affordable than Day Inn (like 4-5 US dollars a plate of fried chicken and rice with a seasoning on the top).
For a reasonable price, you can get a good room in a nice location either with Day Inn or Tara Angkor hotel.
Without any hesitation, I recommend those two hostels, with a little preference for the Day Inn.
