Great location just out of town.

Very friendly staff. Matt is full of information and great sightseeing tips and welcoming to gay couples. Needs to get the bathroom door fixed in the room we stayed in though.

I travelled with my mother to Siem...

I travelled with my mother to Siem Reap for 5 days, we decided to stay at River Village Manor as it was close to town, had great rates and we wanted to stick to Australian service standards that we are used to. When we arrived we were picked up by the River village manor air-conditioned van and greeted by the very friendly RVM driver and the owner Matt, we certainly did not expect the boss himself to meet and greet us! The hotel was magnificent, it was very well maintained, with wood furnishing and decor throughout, even the ceiling is built with hand-crafted wood panels! The hotel has all the necessary amenities including broadband internet, which is very convenient for me. I couldn't believe how spacious the rooms are, they are very clean, equipped with many channels of cable television, storage space, continuous hot water system and bath tub. The beds are made with solid hard wood individually hand-crafted to suit each room's design. The rooms were amazing! Most importantly, the beds were so comfortable and I slept like a baby in air-conditioned comfort. We were treated like queens at the River village manor, breakfast was prepared fresh daily and to our requirement. Tours were designed to suit our time schedules and interests, and the services were suitable to meet our needs, whether we decided to stay in for dinner or explore into town. Matt was very helpful, informative and attended to our every need. River village manor is about 5 minutes tuk tuk ride form town, it is a great place for a relaxing time away from the city's busy lifestyle, it is peaceful, clean and comfortable. I would recommend RVM to any traveller who is looking for a nice hotel with great aussie services in Siem Reap.
