The hotel owners were lovely people and could not have been more helpful. My friend was sick and the owner, who also happened to be a doctor gave him some medicine to take and checked on him regularly.
The only thing missing was a bar, or a place to have a cold drink and something light to eat at the end of a long day's exploring. Breakfast is served in the morning and there is a choice between western and Khmer style. I tried and enjoyed both.
However, with amenities so close at hand (the night market is 5 mins walk away) it wasn't that inconvenient. For the price, it was well worth it.
