The only reason we believe booked this hotel was. Because it had a pool bar sounds silly but we liked the idea of it when we got there the pool bar wasn't open and looked like it had been closed for a while when I asked why it was shut they replied there wasn't enough staff although there was 3 staff members behind reception and 3 behind the small bar it could of been because the staff we're so slow at serving you ie dragging their feet when they walk also not very polite and the food i thought was very over overpriced for what it was my partner alerts. Got quite bad food at listening from the breakfast . Also we stayed here for 4days had the room cleaned twice when requested but the bed sheets we're never changed
Room OK for the price.Booked for one night but stayed 3 as it was not bad enough to start looking around. No fridge and no free water. Bathroom lacks shelves/cabinet to put things on. They were painting the passage outside the room at the time and nasty fumes were in the room. Room was not cleaned unless the sign was put on the door...OK I suppose but most places I have stayed do it automatically unless requested otherwise. Food was average to poor...much better elsewhere for better price too. Staff ok but service is lacking.
Would stay again if I hear of nothing better for same price.
Great Service from Internet to Room
This was very simple to book, amend and change. The hotel was expecting us when we arrived and they made everything easy and welcoming.

I can recommend this hotel.The room was big and clean.The pool is very nice in the evening.
The food in the restaurant is ok ,not the best in Cambodia.
The staff at the reception is really helpfull ,but the staff in the restaurant is not so nice...specially one girl,which never smiles...The hotel is close to the beach-5 min walk
The room provided was comfortable, large and pleasant. There was a lot of damp on the wall next to the bathroom which should be addressed quickly, other than that the hotels was in a good central position.
We stayed here for 2 nights in the end - the first room was the superior double which turned out to be what they called the suite. It was comfortable and spacious with a leather corner sofa. The air-con was included in the rate of the room. The service at reception was not great - the man was a little off-hand but they were busy. We then stayed an additional night but had to move rooms - the second room was in a bad state of repair but fair for $20 per night (with air-con, without is $15). The room was a little dated with cracks in the walls and the air con was very noisy. The towels smelt damp so were not too inviting to use. The lounge/bar area was a realm plus with good food (a selection of Khmer and Western food. Breakfast is served all day but does not seem to come included in the room rate) and good service and a free pool table. Overall a good place to stay but it may be worth paying the extra for a nicer room.
Everything you could want
I enjoyed my stay at Beach Road Hotel. My room was spacious, very clean and modern in style. The bathroom was great and I had a/c, cable tv, hot water and also free wi-fi. It's in a central location, so very close to restaurants and is only a few minutes walk from Serendipity Beach (which is lined with great restaurants.
The pool is also very nice and big. The hotel is attached to Top Cat cinema which plays movies every night and also Relax Massage salon (both great for rainy days).
The only draw back is that it gets a little loud at night as people gather around the bar and pool table at the front of the hotel.
But otherwise, I thoroughly recommend staying here if you're looking for a comfortable, western styled room.

Pleasantly surprised. The room was right next to the pool. The only down side I found was that you couldn't leave the air-con on while you were out. Other than that it was pretty good. I'll be staying there again.
