Ziyu Hotel, Beijing  

Overall our stay at this hotel has been pleasant.The staff does its best to help but due to lack of English with most of them, information may be unclear.(not surprising though, this hotel caters mostly to Asian guests with the odd Europeans now and then).So,bring plenty of endurance and a pinch of humour with you.Getting to sights like Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square etc are easily raachable & affordable even with taxis (around 30 RMB) This hotel is a typical 3 star and considering the price per night (we paid 368 RMB for a deluxe double booked through this well-functioning website), the service has been more than acceptable. Just a note - it´s untypical of hotels in this category to change bedsheets every day. Should you wish to have them changed, just ask the housekeeping to do it (they will accommodate - if you can´t speak Chinese, well, using hands and feet should do the job!) P.S.: For those who might want to be close to Capital Normal University, this hotel is ideal (in terms of distance and price - there are plenty of hotels around this university but prices differ greatly).
