My family really enjoy to stay at Holiday Inn Downtown Beijing Hotel Beijing, we will stay at this hotel again if we are in beijing!!!!
First of all, Downtwon Holiday Inn is...
First of all, Downtwon Holiday Inn is not in downtwon. I am a Chinese American. I know the town well. When foreigners refer to "downtown" it means the downtown in the east part of the town, not in the west, where Downtown Holiday Inn is. If you want to stay in downtown to take care of business, stay in Downtown Crown Plaza Holiday Inn, which is the real downtown Holiday Inn. The so called "Downtown" Holiday Inn has always been a 2 star place, full of rude small time Chinese business people, they smoke around the lobby all the time. You may wonder why Downtown Holiday is so cheap when you book it on-line. You will know when you get there. The staff is second/third class in Bejing, barely meet the basic requirement. It's a total disgrace. I don't why Holiday Inn likes to associate themselves with this dump. Theoretically it's in downtown, but the location is not close to everything. The hotel is next to a postal office, where employees make loud noise at mid-night.

Except the bell boy who demands tips every thing else was great. If you dont tip them they will give you a dirty look and stand there waiting for you to say something.
Holiday Inn Downtown is a nice hotel...
Holiday Inn Downtown is a nice hotel in a quiet neighbourhood. We stayed here for 3 nights and would definitely recommend it. We were initially checked in to a smoking room, which was pretty run down, old and had a bad stench. The non smoking room on the 6th floor, however, was a big relief. Breakfast in the ground floor restaurant was great! The staff are friendly. Close to the city centre and a stone's throw from shops, banks, restaurants & shopping.
