Maintains the standard one expects from a Shangri-La hotel in terms of the hotel's ambience, rooms and general service. Rooms are outstanding and the service and facilities with three exceptions was excellent.
First, the breakfast room is ridiculously small for a hotel of this class, coupled with the desire for the locals to smoke as heavilly as they do, it made for a most uncomfortable breakfast on the 2 mornings I was there.
Secondly, smoking also became an issue in the downstairs night club. To the point where myself and my friends retired to our rooms because of the excess smoke.
Finally, a hotel of this standard should always be en guard as to whom their guests are; and who might be trying to entertain the guests. It became particularly embarrassing for 2 young ladies, guests of the hotel, who were mistaken for 'entertainers' one night.
Nevertheless, would welcome the opportunity to stay at this hotel again.
