All hotel amenities well up to and exceeding expectations for a hotel in this price range. WONDERFUL location overlooking the lake in Guilin with a relaxing lakeside walk into the CBD

"The location near the gorgeous lakes and..."
The location near the gorgeous lakes and gardens was perfect and within walking distance to Guilin shops, restaurants etc. The food in the hotel was ok but much nicer and cheaper elsewhere. It was great
to have breakfast included as it meant we had a contented family before heading out for the day! Breakfast buffet was thoroughly enjoyed by my family though I would have preferred a wider selection of local foods. As our little boy was ill for most of our stay we spent a lot of time in the hotel and so really appreciated the decent sized connecting rooms. We felt very safe in the hotel and the staff were very efficient and helpful. The assistant manager even called the local pharmacist and wrote us a note in Chinese so that we could communicate what we needed for our little boy. The only down side was the cost, noise level of the other guests at times and that the linen smelt a bit smoky .... perhaps this is unavoidable in China? Thank you Hotel Bravo and AsiaRooms. We found the comments from other guests helpful when choosing our hotel and would definitely recommend Hotel Bravo to others.

"We stayed at the hotel two different..."
We stayed at the hotel two different nights. The first night they upgraded us to the lake view room which was nice. The second time we stayed at the standard room which was not much
different than the other one except the view. Both rooms were good size. Be sure to ask for higher floor rooms so you won't hear the street noise at night. Our deal also included breakfast which turned out to be OK. The day we were leaving, we asked for late check out and were able to extend it to 2pm. All the hotel clerks were very friendly and helpful. Brova is about 5 minutes ride from the bus station which cost RMB10 for taxi and 45 to 50 minutes to the airport. Hotel charges $120 for airport transportation one way but you can get other travel agency or tour guide to book it for you which costs about RMB$80 to $100 per taxi/car. I would definitely go back to this hotel again.

"The hotel service and facility is great..."
The hotel service and facility is great but the location wasn't too great since it's quite far form the city centre and bus/train station as well. For those that need internet connection it may not
be ideal since the internet speed provided by the hotel is very poor - it's slower than a dail-up connection, which is a major drawback for me.

"We only spent a night here. Check-in..."
We only spent a night here. Check-in was fast and efficient. The receptionist even offered the use of a baby bassinet in the room before I could ask for one. We had a view of
the lake, which was nice. Our room included buffet breakfast which I thought was okay. Our return flight was at 7:45pm and I enquired about late check-out. The receptionist said that it would be half rate based on the rate I booked, but I would have to contact Asiarooms myself. We didn't bother doing that. We checked out early, left our luggages with the hotel and went off to do some sightseeing. Although it was raining and we had two lil' ones with us, my husband wanted to walk to the Elephant Hill Park and so we did. From there, we also walked to the Seven Star Park. We noticed the Sheraton and Universal Hotel were located nearer these two parks. After sightseeing we caught a taxi back, got hold of our luggage and changed our children near the hotel toilets. We got a lot of stares from some hotel staff as we were organising our stuff and putting all the wet clothes away. One of them asked why we weren't in our rooms and my husband explained to her that we couldn't get a late check out organised directly with the hotel. I arranged an airport transfer with their business centre. I was initially offered a big car for RMB160 but I told them that I thought a smaller car would be sufficient and paid RMB120 for it. In the end, they sent us a mini bus for a comfortable ride to the airport.

"The hotel has very good service (including..."
The hotel has very good service (including tours etc). we arrived late to the hotel and the hotel restaurant was still open. The food was excellent and had a variaty of western food on the
menu. The location is good, but not the best in guilin - there are other hotel closer the main town centre. However for the value of the hotel and service i would highly recommend this hotel.
