The Bravo hotel has a lot to recommend it. The location, on one of the chain of lakes connected to the Li River near downtown Guilin, is just about perfect. The view on the lake side is well worth the extra charge. From the hotel you can walk for miles along beautifully maintained paths, with great views of temples, attractive marble bridges, and, of course, the water. Good restaurants are close by. The hotel itself is modern, clean, and has excellent service. This was the nicest hotel we stayed in in China. Beyond all this, the price was quite reasonable.
