Double Deduction of amount for single room
I am surprised to see that an amount of CNY 178 (approx.) has been deducted from my account held with State Bank of India(SBI).I also paid CNY 178 at the hotel whereas I was supposed to pay only CNY 178 at the hotel.It means that CNY 178(INR 1255.56) has been deducted through bank by default.
It is, therefore, requested to reimburse CNY 178 to my A/c No. 30314716027(SBI) to maintain confidence in CHINA visit.

Kunming Kingworld Hotel
We stayed here for three nights which was fine. We were lucky that the weather was not that hot because the air conditioning, although working, was not powerful and cold. It was fine though, but I can imagine it being a problem during some hotter periods. However, the size of the room and bathroom were a definite bonus. Our room was excellent but the bathroom seemed a bit worn, but was fine. Broadband connection was good. Location was fine too. The staff were friendly and one of the receptionist spoke some English and did try to make an effort in communicating with us. I would recommend this hotel only if you get a good discounted rate, as we did. We had a room for 180 yuan per night which was definitely good value for the place, but if one had to pay the 490 yuan per night as the room is supposed to cost I would not recommend it!
Great value hotel
Excellent location for the train station (a few minutes walk away) but about a 20min walk to the central area. Fantastic value for money with all mod-cons for a very low price.
Hotel Location and Value is good. But...
Hotel Location and Value is good. But Air conditioner wasn't working. Room was quite hot and failed to get service from Hotel management. No body can speak english. Very tough to make understand them. even in front desk.

This hotel is not a four star hotel as mentioned.
The rooms are very old and scruffy. The size of the bathroom was the only positive point I can mention. But the hotel cleans the pipes once a month, so than you do not have water for the whole day! They did not mention that to us. Nobody speaks English, the service is not poor, they have no clue what service is. No information, and it took us an hour to get a bucket of water, because the shut the water off. They got very angry with getting a bucket of water?
The refrigarator did not work, the airconditioning did not work. The hotel is situated next to a big busstation. So the whole day and evening you hear honking and alarms going off.
If you don't bring your laptop, there is no computer or internet in the hotel.
If you pay the bill, you have to pay or all nights up front, or a deposit that is twice the amount of your stay? After a while we could pay per night, but they did not want to give a receipt of the paid amount?
In the area there are not may restaurants to find, it cost you 15yen to get to the centre of the city. The Railwaystation is nearby
It was a very unpleasant stay and if you don't speak chinese it is a big disadvantage. Besides that the price is much too high for the room, the location and the " service".

The hotel is decent enough for most people looking for cheap accomodation with internet access. (Internet access is free.)
As it is near the Kunming railway station and bus terminal so it is not really safe at night to go out alone or with kids.
