Great room , very big room and...
Great room , very big room and very good location and it is value for money. The breakfast sucks, very limited international choices, they need to improve on their breakfast. Have fun guys.

Reserve through Asiarooms. when arrive at hotel there was no reservation for us. i showed them the printed reservation and they manage to get a room for us on same price basis.

This hotel is considerably good and comfy to stay in. Pricing is acceptable.
The only problem lies with the front counter receptionist upon the check in, they had quite some problems retrieving the booking reference records from asiarooms website.
They claimed that they rarely transact with asiarooms, and the more commonly used is GTA rooms reservations.
I was initially told that no hotel was made reservations under my name.

The hotel is quite far from Shekou Ferry Terminal. It took nearly 45-60 min to reach the hotel. However, the hotel is just 10 min walk away from the Dongmen shopping area and 15 min walk from the Metro station.

The metropark shenzhen is interesting architecturally as it is totally chinese, with huge marble lobby, uniformed doormen in cool black chinese overcoats, so overall you do feel that you are in china as opposed to any old chain hotel. the staff speak almost no english but they are extremely helpful and communication can be achieved. its off a grubby highway, but all of shenzhen is a grubby highway as far as i saw. the rooms are huge, immaculately clean, and we had a massive suite with two tvs for around
