The hotel is classed as a 4 star but while it might have been that four years ago (when I first stayed there), sadly that's no longer the case. The conditions of our room and the general hotel interior was tired and worn. We paid for a deluxe room choosing a king size bed but did not get this when we checked in. When I queried this at reception I was told all rooms come with queen size beds only and that your website had made a mistake. To avoid disappointment, I would suggest you amend this accordingly. In the end we didn't get what we paid for which was disappointing. On the other hand, the servicing staff were polite & helpful.

The deluxe suite they gave us was incredibly large, on top floor, with a view over the Bell Tower, huge living room, and an extra bathroom, but the general ambiance was a bit strange. The living room was not freshly renewed and there were no good lights and curtains. Only the bedroom was really clean and warm. A good surprise : the free internet connection !

The hotel is ideally located in the city centre. The breakfast was well up to standard although a fellow guest was disappointed to discover that the porridge was made with rice, not oats as he expected. We especially appreciated being upgraded to a sup deluxe room!

The Bell Tower Hotel's location is great....
The Bell Tower Hotel's location is great. It is right across the street from the Bell and Drum Towers and next to the underground pedestrian walkway. There is a huge shopping mall across the other street with a nice grocery store in the basement. The travel agents were very helpful in arranging tours. The carpets need some attention but, otherwise the hotel and the rooms are very clean. My sons and I enjoyed our stay!
