The hotel is most suited to backpackers....
The hotel is most suited to backpackers. It is cheap and the rooms are clean even if the bathrooms are very basic with inadequate towels provided. The hotel has very basic facilities - no pool in use, the dining room is only used in the mornings for breakfast which was good value, and the room service menu is limited.
I was disappointed that the taxi the hotel called for me for a short journey cost five times the corect fare as shown on another taxi's meter.
On the plus side, the staff i/c Reception were very helpful and spoke good English.
The hotel has 9 floors and is usually full. It is within walking distance of central Cairo. Nearby there are small cafes and a supermarket. It obviously fulfills a need,
