Horizon Pyramids Hotel, Giza  

We where all inclusive and when we had lunch we were given a half a can of Pepsi between us when we asked for another drink they said we had our free drinks we queried this pointing out that half a can of Pepsi is not 1 drink each, they went to reception who allowed us the other half of the tin these amounts where served in a wine glass so we still did not have the full tin and a glass of water each. We pointed out that all inclusive should include however many drinks you want they said it was not the Hotel's policy !! The drinks only includes Pepsi or 7 up neither of which we like even though the fridge was full of all different drinks such as Fanta etc !! Tea and coffee was also excluded off the list, they just crossed it out no explanation was given. We had the same at dinner one wine glass was provided they did not even give us a choice they just poured a glass whilst we were getting our dinner no water was provided !!We stayed for 4 nights as it was in a good location. We found the staff rude and kept chasing us for the bill when it was not necessary, they also would take your food or drink away from you even if you were not finished. The tour agent would only talk to us when he wanted to sell us a tour and then he would not acknowledge us when we didn't book with him as tours where ridiculously expensive with him. As nice as the hotel is you can not relax as you are continuously asked for your money for whatever you get and staff were unfriendly and you felt as though you where continually inconveniencing them. The food was average and breakfast had limited choice for Europeans. The best member of staff was the guy who cleaned the room he did special touches with the towels made them in to a heart shape and different shapes everyday he was also very friendly. There was no gym we were told we would have to walk half an hour to another hotel even though it advertises a gym on their TV channel in their hotel ?? there was no Sky TV either which we were told there was ??

Om arrival, there was some issue about our bookings, however, Horizon´s Sales Manager came down and resolved very quickly. I was very happy with Horizon Pyramid Hotel, it is a good place to live for Cairo visit.
