Directions to Le Foulon.

It's pretty easy and the 34kms can be done in 35 minutes by a confident driver, but allow a few more if you're not used to driving on twisty roads on the the right-hand side of the road.

1/ As you leave the airport follow signs for the autoroute A8, direction Cannes.

2/ You're only on this for a few kilometres and take the second exit, exit 48 towards Cagnes sur Mer/Vence.

This is where you'll need 60 cents for the privilege of 5 mins on the motorway.

If you don't have change to throw in the bucket then go to the right hand booth that's manned or pay by card in the machine.

3/ This takes you onto a dual carriageway.

Continue straight over the first roundabout and at the second roundabout, with MacDonald's on your left and a Casino supermarket on your right, turn left to Villeneuve Loubet.

4/ 2-300m later filter RIGHT at a kind of T junction on the D6 TO LA COLLE SUR LOUP.

5/ Continue straight on this road for about 3.5kms (2.2 miles) until you come to a SMALL ROUNDABOUT AT LA COLLE SUR LOUP & TAKE THE 2ND EXIT (VIRTUALLY STRAIGHT ON) TOWARDS GRASSE.

6/ Continue straight on this road out of Colle Sur Loup, down the hill, past LA PINEDES CAMP SITE on your right, and after a total of 2.5kms (1.5miles) TAKE THE RIGHT HAND TURNING TO “PONT DU LOUP, GRÉOLIÈRES & GRÉOLIÈRES LES NEIGES” ON THE D6.

7/ Continue straight for 10kms (6.2 miles) of twisty scenic road, that follows the course of the river Loup.

Watch out for the increasingly tight right handers!

8/ You then suddenly arrive at a CROSSROADS - GO STRAIGHT OVER TOWARDS GRÉOLIÈRES.

This junction is just after a small bend and if you miss the warning sign it can come as a surprise, so be careful.

9/ 5.6kms (3.1 miles) THROUGH THE GORGES DU LOUP you come to BRAMAFAM, which consists of a small bridge, a shop on your right by the turning to Courmes, and that's about it.

Continue straight on towards GRÉOLIÈRES.

10/ A further 3.4kms (2.1 miles) the road straightens out just a little bit and on the left is LE FOULON with a sign to the left of the drive.

Continue straight down the drive, ignore the left turn half way down, and you have arrived.
