Hotel Description

The Victoria Palace Hotel is located between Saint-Germain-des-Prés and Montparnasse (6th arrondissement) and boasts 62 spacious and luxurious guest rooms, junior suites, one- and two-bedroom suites. Although modern in every important respect (in-room internet connections, air-conditioning, flat-screen satellite television, etc.) we have remained faithful to a very traditional and very French idea of Parisian elegance, designed for the enjoyment and comfort of living, breathing human beings (rather than to please the editors of cutting-edge architectural magazines).
As a privately-owned landmark of the Cherche-Midi neighbourhood since 1913, we are happy to provide our guests with suggestions to help them experience Paris as a local would, such as a self-guided foodies’ tour to the neighbourhood craftsmen and farmers’ markets as well as our own Shopping Guide to the Left Bank, focusing on local shops and traditions rather than just on internationally recognised brands. And of course we are happy to suggest restaurants, excursions, museum visits and other outings in response to our guests’ requests and interests.
Although the hotel does not keep a full restaurant, it does have a breakfast room located on the ground-floor serving a buffet breakfast until 10.30 a.m. Breakfast is also available through room service, as are lunch and dinner. Our bar, Le Cardinal, serves drinks and cocktails every day from 4.30 p.m. to 12.15 a.m.
Room amenities include our own full line of toiletries as well as bathrobes, slippers, hair-dryers, in-room safes and DVD players and evening turn-down service in all room categories. In addition, the hotel has guest-parking available in its own private garage.
During the hotel’s long history, it has served as the Parisian home to such major figures as the Irish writer James Joyce, the New Zeland authoress Katharine Mansfield and the Italian painter Giorgio De Chirico. It has been run by the same family since 1936. read more
