The Terminus Nord, directly opposite the Gare du Nord (the Eurostar terminal serving northern Europe), is located in the famous 10th district, near Montmartre. The blend of 'old and new' Paris is evident in the area's well known restaurants, theatres, and cinemas. Many of the area's cabarets that were made famous by painters, artists and writers of centuries past are still operating today. The area is home to Paris' Canal St. Martin, which most tourists never hear about, or discover. The area is also only a few minutes from Paris business districts.
