The Hotel Red Ross Halle was first documented in 1706 - not long after the young baroque Composer and famous son of the city, George Friedrich Handel (1685 - 1759) had left Halle.

The name Rotes Ross refers to a time when there was a coaching house just in front of the city gates and when traveling by a Horse-drawn carriage, the most comfortable way of traveling, counted. Today it offers a Pedestrian Zone and one of the city high Streets in front of it, a pleasant connection to the Marketplace in the centre of the city (10 mins on foot) and the Main train station is only 5 mins away. It's a nice spot in the city where there is no street noise........
