Finding a stylish hotel in Mykonos is easy. There are many. But finding something small and stylish, where you can also expect a warm and personal welcome, is difficult. Apanema Resort is perhaps the only one.

If you prefer a more private, bijou location, Apanema Resort is a retreat from the island’s vibrant lifestyle. A very homely and casual place Apanema is a small hotel with just 17 rooms/suites offering an intimate, friendly and relaxed surrounding. It is located right on the waterfront with a dreaming sunset view, in the Tagoo area, which is right next to Mykonos town at barely 10 minutes’ walk from the centre of Mykonos Town.

At first sight, it may not look very different from other hotels on the island – white cubic houses with freshly painted doors and shutters around a swimming pool. But the 17 bedrooms have been decorated in a fresh romantic style with soft shades of blue and green, and furnished with smart modern furniture – some beds are of our own design. Much thought has gone into making the rooms comfortable, and when you book a room, you will even be asked if you’d like to sleep on a (typical Greek) firm mattress or something a bit softer.

The rooms come with king size beds except for few with single beds. All rooms have showers except two with a bathtub for those who prefer it. Free Wi-Fi as well as wired access points are available at selected areas and rooms and wireless cards can also be provided if needed. Furthermore all rooms have at least 3 windows in addition to the balcony doors making the rooms sunny and airy, a class differentiating feature from all other accommodation on the island.

The reason for the various types is because the rooms are more like individual bungalows rather than the same type of rooms in a big hotel. Furthermore the building is built like a capital " L " so one side is parallel to the sea, hence the direct sea view rooms (superior), and the other is perpendicular to the sea hence the side sea view rooms (Standard). This is done to provide a fair distinction between the rooms regarding the view. None of the rooms has a backside or garden view etc.
