Vrastama, is a very old village 10Km from Polygyros, the capital of Halkidiki in Greece.

Vrastama or Vrasta, are found in the limits of Polygyros Municipality and in a distance of 11km., easternly from Polygyros, on an altitude of 500m.

from the sea level.

Because of its place, the village has a splendid climate.

The “Viraggas” mansion is found literally in t o green, with lots of acers, wallnut trees, fig trees, ilex trees, arbutus or koumaries e.t.c..
From Vrastama, we can go to Taxiarchis through an astonishing road, to M.Panagia, Palaiochori, Arnaia, to Gomati, Ierissos or Ouranoupoli, to Pyrgadikia, Ag.Nikolao, Vourvourou, Ormylia, Psakoudia and also to Metaggitsi and Metamorphosis.
The residents of the village, are dealing mostly with livestock-farming and their products and the cultivation of olive.

Also with coals in traditional “kaminia”, with the apiculture, the manufacture of candles and an important number of them as employees in various services.
The village, presents an Architectural interest because there are enough buildings of the 19th century and a few have been restored.

Also, particular interest presents the church of Eaggelismos with its characteristic decor.
