The love for the land they were born and raised in pushed the brothers Manolis and Vaggelis Saridakis to stay in the village of Zaros and create the rural lodges “Eleonas” (olive grove). Making good use of their parents’ land and the beauty of the landscape, the two brothers are keeping tradition, culture, as well as the Cretan customs and diet alive and untouched throughout time.
Our philosophy.

The philosophy underpinning the creation of «Eleonas» was to create a place where our guests can get away from the fast-paced everyday life; a place where our guests can let stress out and live moments of relaxation and tranquility in our tasteful rural lodges.

Our lodges are situated at the foot of the mountain and are in peaceful harmony with the surrounding nature.

Our wish is to bring our guests in contact with nature, by combining a comfortable and pleasant stay with high quality services.

Eleonas” offers alternative types of tourism, which give our guests the chance to get to know nature better and experience its numerous possibilities.
