I have stayed in many other hotels...
I have stayed in many other hotels during my visits to Hong Kong. The Charterhouse could be rated as one of the best in terms of cleanliness and facilities. Its location is quiet and close to the MTR after a few minutes' refreshing walk. Hotel staffs are polite and friendly. One can also say intuitive to your needs. I have already recommended The Charterhouse to my friends who are planning to visit Hong Kong. Good value for money!!!

We were upgraded to a very nice suite at no extra cost - a very pleasant surprise which made our short stay very pleasant.

Good Morning from Riyadh...For us, the Charterhouse was perfect for our visit back to Hong Kong. It’s so central located between the Whan Chai and Causeway Bay MTR stops. A street market just a block away bought back that richness that is only Hong Kong to our outings. There was lots of choice for restaurants in the neighborhood. I didn't have a chance to check out the restaurant in the hotel as there was so much selection elsewhere... next time I'll definitely try it.
I found the standard room a little small but when I upgraded to the junior suite, it was great and the staff were ever so helpful in solving any problems that I had. I really liked the availability of the Internet in the business center... I just wish I had found it earlier.
I love Hong Kong and look forward to staying at the Charterhouse and using the asiarooms.com again... thanks... Patrick.

This hotel was a great deal for the money. The rooms were small but very comfortable. The staff was helpful, even opening the business center for me at 2:30 in the morning.

A pleasant surprise. The room was on...
A pleasant surprise. The room was on the small side, but had all that's needed to make a comfortable stay. Quiet, good climate control, and a caring staff. Although at first glance the hotel seems out of the way, it is actually mere blocks from good shopping districts. Public transport (buses, trams, and the subway) is no more than a 5 minute walk. It was much more than I expected for the room rate.
If you just need a place to...
If you just need a place to sleep and stash your stuff, then The Charterhouse will do quite well. The room amenities are pretty complete, which make up for the cramped conditions. The room is not made for lounging around in. The bedding, towels, and all that were quite clean. I do recommend this hotel for those who want a place to sleep at night.
