Small Rooms
The hotel was adequate with free internet connection, gym etc but my room was very small compared to what I am use to in Hong Kong - but the staff were cheerful and helpful.

Great experience
The staff at the Island Pacific Hotel greatly added to a one night business stop-over in Hong Kong recently. A late check-out, subsequently extended at no extra charge after a meeting over-ran, a regular shuttle bus to Hong Kong Station and just an all-round willingness by the staff to assist wherever possible, greatly reduced the stress of a tight schedule. My room had fine views over Victoria Harbour and a very comfortable firm bed. The hotel location is not for those intent on retail therapy but suited a business visit well, with the advantage of the surrounding cafes catering to locals tastes at local prices.

Excellent hotel accomodations
I found my stay at Island Pacific Hotel to be extremely comfortable. The management really went all out to make sure my stay was comfortable. They didn't mention anything about the ritual sacrifice I organised in my room! Even when the goat blood poured down the side of the hotel and into the harbour. Really cool people!

Good Enough
The room was rather small but it was clean and good enough for us considering the price. The location in in West Hong Kong is off the tourist spots. There was a free shuttle bus, though, that took us to the bigger malls. The neighborhood wasn't tony. The shops were mostly wholesalers of dried seafood products which smelled. While the hotel itself was new and gleaming the adjacent buildings were mostly old and crumbling. We took the breakfast buffet once and did not come back again. We found the price (HK$150/pax) too steep for what was being offered.

Great Stay
To find a mid-range budget hotel in HK is pretty difficult. Seems Island Pacific Hotel is my favorite choice with reasonable rate and comfortable stay. The room is not very big, but pretty big according to Hong Kong standard. Room is clean and quiet, given high-floor with half city and half harbour view. Double bed is really double bed size(180cm) and comfortable. Equipped with LCD TV with some cable channel, definitely a great stay. Broadband Internet connection is provided (wifi/cable). Not to mention each room comes with iPod/iPhone Dock for easy charging. Bathroom is pretty basic, with small bathtub, comes with standard amenities. Guest services are pretty good, I got no problem from check-in till checkout. Hotel surrounding is residential area, so everything goes quiet after 9-10pm. Nearby you can find many small restaurants and minimarket. Tram route just pass this hotel nearby (stop between Eastern and Centre St), with HKD 2 you can get to nearest MTR (Sheung Wan) or to Central.

Good value for money, very friendly and polite front desk staff. Conveninece location to go around the island, plenty of small little restuarant around the area.

Perfect Location, clean and very friendly
I can only recommend this hotel. The staff is very friendly and the location is great. when you get out of the hotel you are very close to central. you either walk 2 minutes to the next cablecar station or take the hotelbus directly to the ifc center where you have connection to metro boat etc. (just ask the portier) Only downside (it didnt bother us at all) would be the dry fish smell when you get out of the hotel. Due to the many shops out on the street.
I will go there again...for sure...

I stayed on 11th Oct the first night... the rate is HKD 704 nett.
As my meeting have to extend, I need to book for another night on the 12th Oct.
I need to pay HKD 1386.
Do you find that this is too much.
Their explanation is there is a exhibition going on at Wanchai Convention.
I asked whether are all rooms fully booked and they said no.
???
