Hotel well located in HK Island and proper. Nice breakfast.
A little expensive for the global level of service (breakfast around 16 EUR) and no real common places to chill out in the hotel.

Never lets us down!
My wife and I lived in Hong Kong for 5 years. Now when we come back for short visits this is our preferred hotel on Hong Kong island. Great price, excellent location, straightforward clean modern rooms, with extras if you need them just a phone call way. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Excellent Lodging in Wan Chai
First and foremost i must say that when i arrived i was so elated to find that my room was upgraded to deluxe with an excellent view. Apart from that, our group was given the top-notch service by the bellboy (I believe his name was James). During the course of my stay, the staff at the desk as well as the bellboy referred to me by my name (impressive) and even ensured that the taxi's we boarded were good. On one occasion, after coming back from Lan Kwai Fong, after exiting, one of the staff did a quick sweep of the taxi before it drove off only to discover that one of my colleagues had left his wallet behind. On numerous occasions when we wanted to catch a taxi to certain locations, the staff would ask us where and assist us by helping us plan the trips and also recommended we use their shuttle service which was free. I would definitely go back to the Cosmopolitan anytime. It's a good hotel with (most importantly) good staff.

Staff friendly,courteous & helpful.
Requested a double bed with bath which was not provided.
Some distance to dairies/snack bars - not a great selection for lunch/evening meal.
However excellent regular shuttle service to a variety of venues.

Hong Kong Rugby Stay
Travellers must understand that the Cosmopolitan Hotel offered a no frills, value for money stay whilst I was in Hong Kong. It is well located with easy access to both Hong Kong Stadium and the Racing Club. The room was clean and the staff were very helpful when asked for information or assistance. The two areas that could be improved upon are as follows:
Breakfast - Food was of poor quality and the restauraunt is tired and rundown. Most of the food was processed and very bland. The cheese came out in individual plastic wrappings!! It was of a very poor standard.
Fitness room - was very small and could did not really provide the option of having a hard workout other than the one running machine. Might be better to delete fitness room altogether as that was one of my requirements when searching for a hotel (i.e gymnasium facility) and this one was not upto standard.

Room was much smaller than I expected. so I changed it to sweetroom,, but I don't think it was reasonable price compare to its size or view. View was awful,, front was all the traffic back was cemetary.. Breakfast was good..though. Location,, well.. not too bad,, but you will always need taxi or shuttle to go out.

Service was excellent. Plenty of staff in attendance. Room good but could not understand why our windows were frosted, offering no view. There was an obvious plumbing mistake in the bathroom. The shower recess had no floor waste A hole was punched through the hob so water could escape into the bathroom floor waste located at the side and to the rear of the toilet suite. Water was able to spread up and around the front of the toilet suite making for a potential safety problem. To the question - 'would you stay at this hotel again?', I answered 'probably not' because Hong Kong is not our city and we would never return.
