Walking to and from the hotel to Causeway Bay MTR can be a little daunting due to the distance and having to cross an underpass, up and down the long flight of stairs. If you don't mind waiting for the free shuttle to Causeway Bay according to the schedule, then I would say that Cosmopolitan is really value for money. Though the rooms are small which is expected of Hong Kong, it is very clean and comfortable to stay in. However I would choose to stay in Mongkok in future as I think there are more eateries and shopping to be done.

Great hotel
Excellent service at great price. Hotel is beside a cemetery, otherwise it's perfect.

cosmopolitan stay disappointing
We stayed at the cosmopolitan hotel for 4 nights, the room was very small, and servicing of the room each day was not very thorough. One day we were still waiting for the room to be serviced at 6.30pm.
The hotel was very busy I think it may have been local school holidays and things in the foyer and shuttle bus/taxi area were very disorganised. Staff were always pleasant but often did not follow up on things they said they would do.
We travel to hong kong a couple of times each year and this was the first and last ime I would stay at the Cosmopolitan Hotel

Value for money
The Cosmopolitan was a lovely well presented hotel. Amongst the softest bed, sheets and quilts I have ever slept in! It was located in a nice position, though not very centrally. The free regular shuttle buses from the hotel to the main areas of Hong Kong Island (including the Airport train station) was a huge and welcome bonus. The staff were excellent and very helpful. the hotel spotlessly clean and all amenities provided and well kept. The free wi fi in the lobby was widely used and a real bonus. Recommended.

This is a good hotel with plenty of helpful, English speaking staff, a very good shuttle bus service and reasonably priced. Like most hotels in Hong Kong, rooms are on the smallish side. Our room faced a cemetery so the glass in the windows was frosted to save us the view, which wouldn't have bothered us in the slightest. In fact all windows on that side of the hotel couldn't be opened, nor could they been seen through. Cosmopolitan is not perfectly situated as far as main shopping areas are concerned but the shuttle service compensates adequately. We booked 2 rooms for our large family. One asked for was a twin with additional bed. It would not have been possible to add the third bed so one branch of the family slept 3 to a king sized bed. Not a big issue but not what we asked for.

Accommodation in HK
We were very pleasantly surprised how spacious our family room was - 2 very comfortable queen beds and still enough space to get around. The bathroom, though a little small, was beautifully "newish" and immaculately cleaned each day, always with fresh towels. It was great that the hotel had already allowed for our 2 chn. with towels and face clothes in the room, plus enough glass ware. So often, with chn (ours are 14 and 11), the family room or "all in one" room only provides 2 towels and we always seem to have to call housekeeping to get 2 more. The pillows were large, fresh, feathered and beautifully soft. The beds were big, fine for my daughter and I, and my son and husband. The minibar was excellently stocked, though we did not partake, as we had plently of duty free liquers and purchased snacks outside. Breakfasts were awesome: everything you could wish for, including egg, bacon, dim sum, cereals, juices and breads, as well as Asian treats, waffles, pancakes and cheeses, salads, meats and crackers. Staff were very polite, most helpful and went out of their way to answer any questions and give advice and directions. The shuttles were very helpful to get us from place to place, and they left regularly. In particular, Winnie on Floor 21 was delightful, kind, helpful and most hardworking, taking pride in her dutes as room cleaner, and very friendly with excellent English. At the front desk, a gentleman even walked us over to the bus stop outside, pointing to us how to get from the hotel to where we were going, and how many stops to count on the 10A or 10X bus. At breakfast time, a gentleman called "Teri" or "Gary" (unsure) was most gneneous with his time in telling us all about the wine on display outside the breakfast room, plus, when we met again in the lobby, he gave us some excellent pointers about shopping, the markets (Stanley, Ladies and Temple Street) and how best to get there. He was most friendly, very interested in people and very enjoyable to talk to.

Large Room
We are a family of 2 adults and 2 children and the room size was good, with two double beds in it. The location of the hotel is good - walking distance to the MTR, and to shops and 'real life' - we also enjoyed riding the trams that left from outside the hotel door. The hotel is also close to Ocean Park. The hotel itself was clean, but we had a room on the smoking floor (and as it was a busy weekend there wasn't another room available) so there was a lingering smell of smoke. The buffet breakfast was good, although a little more variety would have been nice. We had a good stay at this hotel and really enjoyed our time in HK.
