* Location is not bad but difficult...
* Location is not bad but difficult to find initially. Taxi drivers aren't familiar with this boutique hotel.
* Teaspoons provided are dirty.
* There's no proper lobby like a regular hotel and no one to help when one has a lot of luggage.
* Taxi's are difficult to flag down on that side of the hotel. One has to cross (with luggage) the street to get a cab.
* Bathrooms (T&B) are large but not well thought of. There's no room to place toiletries on the Lavatory.
* Glass Bathroom door should have JJ Hotel sticker to avoid colliding on it.
* Sunlight goes through the edge of the windows in the morning when the curtains are closed. No Architrave provided on the windows.
* Needs a proper Interior Architect/Designer to reconfigure the Bathrooms and Windows
A strange hotel that is scattered over...
A strange hotel that is scattered over several floors of the "Lucky Centre" consequently there is no central focus and apparently no lobby thus virtually no porterage service. We had to hail our own taxi and struggle across a very busy street with 2 suitcases and hand luggage. Very hairy and no mean feat for someone suffering from angina.
The building is well situated in the heart of Wanchai - but unfortunately not known to taxi drivers one of whom was unable to locate it even when given the address written in Chinese.
This hotel is much more suitable for business travelers looking for somewhere to sleep. One very strange and amusing feature that we cannot fail to mention is the fact that the en-suite wc and shower was walled entirely in glass making attending to bodily functions a somewhat spectacular and intimate event.

I have been coming to H.K. for 15 years and this is the best value hotel i have stayed in. I found it on Asia Rooms.The travel agent had never heard of it, neither has anyone else,so make sure you have the address if coming by Taxi. 5 mins walk to/from Wan Chai MTR. The staff are friendly and helpful,the rooms clean and the location good. T.V. channels are limited but who goes to H.K. to watch T.V. If you need an iron they can be a bit slow. Overall- excellent will be back a few times this year.

Exceeded expectations. Location in city is great - very near metro station - location inside building occupying several floors of a multi-purpose tower is a bit off-putting at first, but not having to always go through reception to get to your floor is quite nice if you want privacy. Very clean, but small roons, with all modern conveneiences - flat screen tv (alhtough I concur with others - should have more channels to watch - probably forces you to rent their DVDs), new furnishings. Shower cube might be a bit awkward for some although it has shades that can be give some privacy. Staff were OK, but not very friendly and not knowledgeble about the city. Overall very good for location and price and cleanliness.

First off the description offered on this site got some vital elements wrong, most of the free stuff is no longer available they charge for everything except the internet. Gone is the complimetry tea tray and newspapers, but hey the room is clean. Dont let them put you on bottom floor as all you can hear all night is mahjong beng played below you, I dread to think what top floor is like theres a kareoke bar above that (hong kongers love both). It only lacked a five smile rating with me because of those details above, the premier room was clean, spacious and bathroom was superb close to everything easy to get taxis from and close to supermarket. And finally much cheaper than 5 and 4 star hotels nearby. Asians do hotels well (unlike europe):)

JJ was a good value for the money and we really liked the wanchai neighborhood which is in the middle of hong kong island so very central and also very local in feeling, the staff was super friendly although they are hands-off, very little in service, no doorman who helps with bags or anything lile this, wireless is included but not the fastest at all, the room was very clean, the sheets were fresh and the bed was comfortable. The view was not great at all and there is construction next door however with the windows closed it was not a problem and does not go on at night. We tried some other hotels in Hong kong and we decided the JJ is very good value and great location. Be sure to check out the local noodle shop for morning tea, etc follow the street directly across from the hotel entrance look on the left hand side of the street. Also, beware, as is the case with most place in Hong Kong it is very cold, they blast the a/c and it is hard to warm up the room!

The Room Was clean and pretty nice. The only problem I really saw with it was it had a very nice flat screen TV with almost no tv stations which was a downside when me and my wife (it was our honeymoon) wanted to unwind after exploring hong kong (and certian other things) but other then that, I love the bathroom and the fact that the Hotel was close to every place we wanted to goto, but then again Hong Kong is small and everywhere is pretty much close to everywhere else. All in all i recomend this hotel to anyone not shy (the shower and bathroom walls are glass) and anyone not planning on watching too much tv (unless u bring DVD's).

Only problem we have is that the taxi doesn't know the hotel and that I have to give him the detail of the address. We don't mind going back to stay the next visit.However, it will be good it the hotel can accomadte triple room for family.
Yes,I am enjoying staying there on the whole.
