Beautiful Harbour View
Although the size of the room is very small...very HK type of rooms but the view and the new refurbishment made up for it. House keeping was very alert and maintained the room very clean after my 9 yr old boy messes it up every evening.
The conceirge was very helpful and knowlegable and the staff in general are all very friendly.
Hotel is located just 3 mins from the Fortress Hill station so its very convenient
Will definitely return,

hongkong was a stopover on our way to australia. the harbour grand was an excellent place to relax from the flight and discover the city. even though not in the very center it's not out of reach at all: the tube station is very close (5 min walk), the transport system is cheap, very clean and easy to understand (plus airconditioned!).
the hotel features just about everything you want (spa, gym, swimming pool, bar on the 41st level with impressive view on city/harbour, 2 or 3 restaurants...). we didn't have breakfast nor any other meal there, so i can't review their food.
the room was nicely set up, modern and stylish, but still cosy, very clean, surprisingly spacious. the bed was one of the best ones i've ever slept on in a hotel. it was a good place to recharge and get ready for another 10 hours flight...
by the way, my positive review is not only due to the fact we happened to get upgraded to their clubmember area, which meant a room on level 39. however, i don't know if the set up of the room is any different in their "normal" rooms.
in summary, excellent place for a city break and/or stopover.

Slightly disappointed at the small size of the room and lack of space but everything else was fine. If I stayed in Hong Kong again I wouldn't necessarily choose to stay here again with such an array of accommodation to choose from.

Good place but too many extra costs
This was a good hotel which, at first, seemed to be out of the way but in fact turned out to be located in a very interesting dynamic area near King's road; it gave us a chance to get exposure to unadulterated aspects of ordinary daily life in Hong Kong. If you want to be in the centre of the action, however, you would better choose a place that is closer to well-known places like Causeway Bay.
It was a disappointment to realise that the general price did not include any freebies: there was a charge for internet; there was a charge for the swimming pool, there was a charge for everything you could think of.
The service to the airport I used was disappointing in that it was a bus that started touring other hotels for about 45 minutes after in picked us up to collect other passengers; the driver played loudly Chinese music which I could not handle very well given the early hour of my departure.
But the staff were very supportive when my son needed medical assistance on arrival. They promptly arranged for us to visit a doctor nearby; the man gave my boy some Chinese medications and reassured us my son will recover soon -- and so he did. Thank you!

I have stayed in many hotels in Hong Kong this one truly offers value for money. Great buffet if you like seafood you can load up on crab, oysters, sushi, etc ect, its clean and fresh well worth it. Nice swimming pool and gym. Make sure you get a room facing the bay.You wont be sorry staying here.

Although I only spent one night, I...
Although I only spent one night, I can remark that the establishment is typical "Harbour" style. I did think the room was small considering it was a "Superior" room. Charging for in room internet use is a pet peeve for me and this is definitely a "deal killer". Why should I pay $200 for a nice room only to have to add $20 for internet? (which, by the way, they get at a very minimal charge to the hotel) Most quality places are free these days. They undoubtably have the best view of the harbour from the 41st floor bar. Spectacular for sure, although you pay for the view judging by the cost of the drinks. Not a budget hotel by any stretch of the imagination. Its biggest downfall is its location, as it is within walking distance to nowhere. Taxi only.

Having travelled to, from and through Hong...
Having travelled to, from and through Hong Kong on many occassions in the last ten years I can say that I've stayed in every kind of hotel and hostel HK has to offer. Even a few of the more expensive harbour view hotels. This hotel however has my vote as the best one so far! The staff were all really friendly and polite from reception to the housekeeping staff. The breakfast buffet was one of the best I've had and I loved the pool(although service at the poolside was a bit slow.). Our room was upgraded at check in so we would "have a better view" with was nice and I absolutely loved the round bathtub with the "rain" shower head right above it, even if it was a little difficult to get in and out of(I'm currently 8 months pregnant.). I would reccomend anyone who has a bit of extra cash to stay at this hotel.
