Great Location, but Small Rooms
This was my first time staying at the Mingle. Here are the good qualities:
-It's a very well located hotel, being within walking distance of the shopping centers in Central, the mid-levels, and the bars, restaurants and clubs of Lan Kwai Fong.
-Check-in and check-out was quick and easy and the staff was pleasant.
-The room was quiet. Street noise was minimal.
-WiFi is free in every room.
Here are the drawbacks:
-The room was pretty small. Since I was a solo traveler, it wasn't too big of deal. A couple might not be happy staying there for many days.
-There was no safe in the room to lock up valuables.
-The shower water wouldn't get warm or hot. So, not the best if you're looking for a warm shower.
-No refrigerator, so you can't stock up on some drinks and keep them cold for a couple of days.
-The rooms were not meticulously cleaned. The rooms have just fallen into the realm for needing renovation. I think the management has realized this as there is a note on the inside of the elevator door referencing that renovations are coming soon.
Overall, the hotel was satisfactory. I might stay again if I need a quick 1 night in Hong Kong. I think after the renovations are done, it could be a cool place if the renovations are done right and they take care of the drawbacks I stated above.
