Small but good.
Our stay at Silka was very good. The location is fabulous, right outside the Temple St night market. We emailed the hotel to confirm our reservation and inquire about an airport shuttle, and the hotel responded promptly and were very helpful. The desk staff were also helpful any time we had questions or needed assistance.
The room itself was very tiny. We knew it would be small but were still surprised by how compact it was. If you are a bigger person, you might find the room awkward. It did not however hinder our experience much as the facilities were still good. The shower was great, had a great shower head, and overall the bathroom was very clean and well designed. I scored them lower on cleanliness because the carpets were kinda dirty (standard dirtiness for any hotel I have been to in China/HK) but I imagine a smoking room would have had even grosser carpets. Good thing they give you little slippers! Also, the quilt on the bed was quite ugly and old, but the sheets were oh-so-soft, so I forgave them.
The buffet breakfast was good, nothing fancy but had coffee, tea, orange juice, fried eggs, congie, porridge, toast, fried rice, cereal, salad, tomatoes... all for $55 HKD per person.
Wireless is not free but there is free internet on a computer at the restaurant that you can use during business hours.
So, if you are picky or on a budget, this might not be the place for you. I know my parents would probably hate it. But if you understand that all hotels in HK are pricey and rooms are small, you should have a good experience. To get a better place, you will probably have to pay more. We had a great stay but will probably try to stay somewhere with better value next time.
