We enjoyed our stay at the Kimberley...
We enjoyed our stay at the Kimberley Hotel, Hong Kong. The service was fantastic and the hospitality brilliant. The Hotel is very nice and has all the facilities a traveller would require. I particularly commend the bell boys or porters and the Tour Advisor, all very very helpful. The restaurant was great, the food the best. I also had a Hair Cut at the Hotel and that was very good and convenient. Had a Coffee and Cake in the coffee shop, as I said everything you could want is at hand. The Taxi's are out the front door as well as other public transport. Thank you all at The Kimberley Hotel. We were on our way home from Scotland, england and Paris and the hospitality at Hong Kong was the best. Jan Mitchell Perth. WA

Close to MTR & Main street. Easy...
Close to MTR & Main street. Easy access to Airport. Standard room are a little small compare to Western standard. Room and bathroom are clean. Great for couples.

The hotel was in a good position...
The hotel was in a good position and the service was exelent, We arrived at the hotel at 7-20 am and we were in are room at 9-am everybody that we came in contact at the hotel was frendly You could catch the bus or mtr in nathah road to anywhere in hong kong, And just round the corner in nathan road there was anice cafe with free internet if you bought coffee its about 50 mtrs turning right into nathan rd.

Our comments are based on our having stayed at 5 other Hong Kong hotels. We booked the Kimberley with AsiaRooms.com for 6 nights ending 11/30/05. This was our 14th Hong Kong visit. We first stayed at the Kimberley for 7 nights in 11/2004. Reservation via AsiaRooms.com is FAST & EASY with excellent rates. For the price, you can't beat the hotel's location with shopping convenience starting from just outside their front door. MTR subway is a short 3 minutes walk. Local transportation to and from the airport and elsewhere are at their front door and their bell staff goes out of their way to assist you. The hotel staff's service quality and friendliness are tops and efficient and should be rated as such as long as OUR expectations are reasonable. All things considered, you can't beat what the Kimberley offers for their reasonable rate. Our room/bathroom are small but very clean with excellent maid service. We plan to stay at the Kimberley in 11/2006 for 6 or 7 nights. Yes, we traveled othe parts of the world and visited Japan for the 5th time for 2 weeks in 11/2006. We also visted Europe, China, Malaysia, U.S. Mainland, Greece, Turkey, Israel, etc. So, we know quality hotels and value.

I think overall the service was very...
I think overall the service was very good. All staff gave very efficient service especially bell services department. I would consider this hotel next time.

Nice little place, more suitable for 2...
Nice little place, more suitable for 2 people per room than 3. We ask room for 3 and turn out the 3rd person had to sleep in a fold out couch with rock hard mattress and hardly any room to move in the room and bathroom. Ortherwise than that service is nice and kind enough to give you late check out (2:00pm). Would recommend this place for 2 people per room.

We arrived at the Kimberley hotel on...
We arrived at the Kimberley hotel on our way back to Australia from England in May 05.  After a long flight, we got to the hotel at 6.30pm only to find that we had been allocated a smoking room. As soon as we got to the level we could smell the smoke and when we got to the room we couldnt go any further than the door as the smell was so strong.  We went back to reception only to be told that there were no other rooms because they were so busy.  I insisted that we be moved as id paid for the room months in advance. We were then told we would have to wait 2 hours for our room to be cleaned. I found the staff unfriendly and the service poor.  We eventually got to our room at 8.30pm after wondering the streets for 2 hours!  The reason i booked this hotel was for the spa and pool, however when we enquired, we were told that the pool was for men only!  and that we had to pay extra to use the spa! This wasnt noted on the website!  Very disapointing.  The conciege and restaurant staff were nice and the hotel looked good compared to the bustling street in which it is positioned.  Basically very disapointed stay in hong kong, not just the hotel but overall, we were glad to leave.

The location of Kimberley hotel is excellent. Hotel and service compare with price can consider as one of the most worthy. If I go to hong kong again I will stay in this hotel for sure.

Kimberley is a nice Hotel though rooms...
Kimberley is a nice Hotel though rooms are rather small. Nothing poshy. A little away from the MTR but very convenient for late night supper - just across the road - and close to shops at Granville/Cameron. The hotel staff we encountered were pleasant. We won't mind a revisit or recommend it to our friends.
