I really enjoyed my stay at the...
I really enjoyed my stay at the Royal Plaza. It was really convienient to the city centre and the adjoining shopping centre. The only fault was with the TV reception - useless. I got a clear reception for about 1 hour on one of the evenings I was there. Hotel is very clean

The hotel was very accommodating to our...
The hotel was very accommodating to our needs. We stayed at the hotel and then had to go to China and then come back to the hotel. Our bags were stored for us at no additional charge saving us the trouble of taking all the bags to China.

The location of this hotel is good...
The location of this hotel is good for biz travellers who need to travel via KCR to Shenzhen. It took us quite a while to locate the MTR station, quite difficult to find. Security is tight in this hotel, which is good for their guests, but they shld at least have restrooms available for guest who'd checked out to use. Their restrooms need room key to access. This hotel is not practical for senior citizens who're not electronically inclined.

WE TRIED TO CHECK IN WHEN WE...
WE TRIED TO CHECK IN WHEN WE ARRIVED AT 0900 AFTER 13 HOUR FLIGHT AND WE WERE TOLD TO COME BACK AT 1400 BUT THEY WOULD STORE OUR BAGS. YOU CAN NOT ACCESS ANY OF THE HOTEL FACILITIES (INCLUDING THE TOILETS!)WITHOUT A ROOM KEY SO WE FELT THAT WE WERE DUMPED ON THE STREET WHEN COULDN'T CHECKIN. THERE WERE NOT ENOUGH STAFF AT CHECK IN AND WE STOOD IN LINE AGAIN AT 1400 AS EVERYONE ELSE WAS TRYING TO CHECK IN THEN ALSO. WE TRIED TO GET ROOM SERVICE THAT NIGHT AND HAD TO CALL RECEPTION TWICE AFTER TRYING EVERY COUPLE OF MINUTES FOR 45MINS TO GET THROUGH TO ROOM SERVICE. THE MEAL WAS AT BEST AVERAGE. PERSONALLY I DON'T THINK THAT THE HOTEL IS WORTH THE MONEY OR THE STAR RATING - I HAVE STAYED IN BETTER ACCOMMODATION IN HKG ON A NUMBER OF OCCASSIONS. WE SPECIFICALLY BOOKED THIS HOTEL DUE TO ITS LOCATION TO THE MARKETS, I WOULDN'T BOTHER - PAY FOR A TAXI FARE AND STAY NEAR THE HARBOUR.

The Location is a bit far from...
The Location is a bit far from the Hong Kong Island. There is a Mall on the Hotel and a subway that can take you anywhere. The Mall has ATM's, shops, restaurants etc. I did not feel that I needed to use the Hotel Restaurants. The room was great, Service excellent and the price was just right. I would recomend it to any traveler. The pool is one of the best in Kowloon, and the fitnes center excellent. I wish they had free internet and more English Speaking staff. Security was great and safe. Overall, I think I got a great deal compared to other Hotels of the same quality in Hong Kong. I am definitaley staying there again.

We have stayed here on a few...
We have stayed here on a few occasions due to its location and size of rooms. The service this time was much better than when we stayed in January, 07. They really need more English speaking people in Room Service as the continually get our orders wrong. We have stayed in some back areas of China where the language barrier is harder but they do a better job at room service. When they say it is a non smoking floor I wish they would police this as it is very off putting for a non smoker to have smoke seeping through the air conditioners into your room. The selection for the buffet breasfast is fantastic, they cater for all nationalities.

Ideally located for guest who would make...
Ideally located for guest who would make a transit between Guangzhou and HK because of good train and MTR link. Easy assess to local food varieties and mingle with local.

This hotel is wonderful. Right from...
This hotel is wonderful. Right from first impressions, it went down well. The whole building seems very posh as marble stone is used in abundance. The service is top notch. Friendly, courteous and everyone speaks a good level of English. Rooms are kept very clean and provide a very comfortable stay. The real bonus of staying at this hotel, is its location and convenience. Next door is the Grand Century shopping mall, with nearly every kind of shop / service imaginable available. And if not, then the heart of Mong Kok shopping area is only a 10 minute walk away. You can catch a taxi readily from the front of the hotel, or you can catch both bus / train from outside the Grand Century shopping mall. Also Greyline Tour Services are available from within the hotel itself. The Cinema is next door. Seafood buffet available from the hotel. Overall highly recommended. One last thing to remember, you have to stick the card in the lift, before you can press the lift buttons!!!
