I've been researching on a number of hotels within my budget for my 8D7N trip to Hong Kong in February '09 when I stumbled upon Shamrock accidentally and I decided to choose it due to its close proximity to the Jordan MTR station.
When I arrived in HK earlier than expected due to a re-timed flight, the staff at Shamrock was really accomodating and checked us in a couple of hours earlier than the permitted check-in time. She was considerate enough to let us choose between a room at the lower floor (3rd) and 8th floor. As they were undergoing some upgrading works, she also told us that if we found it a bit too noisy to tolerate, she'd change us to the room on the 8th floor (further away from the noise).
Shamrock is located along Nathan Road, and about 10 walking steps away to the Jordan MTR station. It is SUPER convenient and an incredibly clean hotel to live in. Albeit small, everything else about it is excellent. There is a bathtub in the toilet, and everything is spotlessly clean, from the bedsheets, to the towels. Tv's small, but that's because the room's small too. I'd say other than the size of the room, everything else is above our expectation.
we'd definitely be staying there again if we ever return to HK !!!!!
