Stayed at this hotel in early December. Couple of issues with this hotel. The coffee shop has outrageous prices. A bowl of wonton at US$15! Of course, I did not eat at the coffee shop. The lobby drinks and snacks prices are overpriced as well. My wife had a coffee, I had a beer, and we each order a small smack. Total bill including tip, almost US$40.
Second issue, at this room rate you figure you'd get free internet service, nooooooop! I got billed at HK$9 a minute. It's not the money, but it leaves a bad taste in the mouth. HK is such a competitive place and there are hotels that offer better value than the Shangri-La, or unless you are a business traveler and spend your company's money without any reservation then this would be a good place for you!
