I booked the YMCA Salisbury purely through...
I booked the YMCA Salisbury purely through on line reviews, and it certainly lived up to its reputation. The room was a good size, the bathroom very clean, with little extras that made it a bit special - complimentary newspapers delivered to your door in the morning, beds being turned down in the evening.... The only improvement I can think of is a luggage trolley or porter service for taking your cases / backpacks up to your room on arrival /departure. However, saying that, it would certainly not stop me from staying at the hotel again. I would certainly recommend staying here.

This is the best location in Hong...
This is the best location in Hong Kong. Very close to ferrys, MTR, shopping, etc. Hotel is very clean, room size is OK, beds are very firm, but not too hard. The food wasn't great, but there a so many places within a few minutes walk. If you are looking for a laundry place, it's difficult to find one. The hotel wanted about $US 3 to clean one tshirt, but I found a place only 2 MTR stops away that did an excellent job on 11 pounds of laundry for only $US 5. You have to look into the narrow alleys and ask lots of locals to find places like this. Get the Octopus card, take the ferry to Cheung Chow, and go see the light/sound show every night - it's great from the promenade.

The location is good. From airport, we...
The location is good. From airport, we took the express train to Kowloon, then a K3 bus to a neighbour hotel and walk across the road. Very convenient. Major shopping areas to browse around the hotel. No chance to use the hotel facilities... not much to complain, not much to praise.

A great hotel! We only stayed one...
A great hotel! We only stayed one night in transit but were pleasantly surprised, not at all what we expected a YMCA to be like. Very comfortable room, not much of a view but good value for money.

Good hotel, everything OK, my harbour view...
Good hotel, everything OK, my harbour view room view was obscured by culture centre which was a disappointment. I used Hotel Link bus service to get from airport and the driver was terrible, he was eating or answering his phone and the bus was weaving across the road, it was very scary for my first experience of Hong Kong, the driver back to the airport was far more professional.

We had a wonderful 2 week stay...
We had a wonderful 2 week stay at the YMCA! The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff was friendly, efficient and informative. The location was great - close to MTR stations, the Star Ferry, and the tourist office. We will definitely stay here again!

As a family, we had been traveling...
As a family, we had been traveling for a while, were tired and were really pleased with what YMCA in HK had to offer. The location is fantastic, all our requests at the time of booking were met / exceeded and the staff was extremely helpful !!! We have traveled to HK before and this was probably our best stay yet in terms of the place we chose to stay in. I would strongly recommend the YMCA for all kinds of travelers - not only for the location but for the comfort, cleanliness, amenities, the flexibility of the staff, and the ease of check in / out. Cheers !!

It is a great place to stay....
It is a great place to stay. Good rooms, good value food, a nice swimming pool, and a great view from the higher floors.
